This Oregon Coast elopement was anything but ordinary, which was the perfect compliment to Lakisha and Cody’s love story.

When (yes, you guessed it) COVID delayed their big celebration at Laurel Creek Manor in Puyallup, WA, Lakisha and Cody opted to get away from it all and head down to the Oregon Coast for a weekend of relaxation. The idea struck them there to tie the knot at beautiful Cannon Beach, and they gave me a call to assist in planning.

We were so lucky to secure the amazingly talent of vendors like Ellie Parker of E. Ann Photography and Tino Tsikirai of Maruwa Design so late in the game, and these ladies pulled out all the stops to create a truly magical day for our couple. When rain threatened the forecast, Tino sprang into quick action to design and create a draped oasis with soft lighting and floral in the Hallmark Inn + Resort’s conference room.

Day of, Ellie arrived on site to capture some absolutely dreamy photos. We both agreed — working at the Oregon Coast makes everything 1,000 times more romantic. Check out this emotional first look:

After family photos were captured, the crew of seven guests went upstairs for the ceremony. Our officiant Anthony Behrens (The Wedding Judge) performed one of the most heartfelt and tearjerking ceremonies I’ve witnessed. With the small amount of time he knew Lakisha and Cody, Anthony managed to craft an emotional ceremony that made everyone feel as though he’d been onboard from the very beginning.

I’m so grateful that I was asked to pull together this vision for Lakisha and Cody — you guys always know that I talk about palpable love and energy in a room, and this wedding was no different. Whether your guest count is two hundred and fifty or seven, your love will shine like the sun.
