This blog post has been a long time coming, and what a treat to get to share these images with you. Jacque + Austin tied the knot at an epic celebration at Barn Kestrel in West Linn, OR. Jacque’s unique eye for design really stole the show on this event. She and Austin were wed in front of a large white frame that pulled the surrounding view into perfect focus.

Post tear-filled ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour under a custom shade structure erected by Royce’s Prop Shop and furnished by Party Place PDX. Austin is quite handy, and the bars + seating chart you see pictured were built by him! The fabric billowing in the August breeze was such a beautiful nod to the Napa Valley vibes Jacque was hoping to achieve.

Guests dined on a plated meal executed by Verde Cocina, and 1927 S’mores was there to ensure no bellies were grumbling later into the evening.

Gavin with The Aussie DJ kept the music going all night, and as guests were able to witness the sunset, AlphaLit Portland stepped in with a giant lit monogram of Jacque + Austin’s initials to keep their black + white checkerboard dance floor lit well into the evening. When it was all over, the two shared a private last dance, and exited through a big sparkler tunnel while their loved ones cheered them on!

The thing I’ll never forget from this wedding: As I’d lined the wedding party and began to send them down the aisle, Austin came down the stairs with tears in his eyes on the way to the ceremony space. He looked at me and said thank you. I was so humbled in that moment that someone could be so gracious and think of others when he was the one getting married. It truly warmed my heart and was a shining example of the type of people Jacque and Austin were and are today.
