bridal veil lodge wedding
This couple will live in infamy as the most gracious and loving on this earth. Their day was beautiful, poetic, amazing, and despite a huge hiccup (hey, caterers – don’t show up 3.5 hours late without letting us know, k?) they remained this way all evening.
The sun shone brightly, filtering through the leaves of the trees outside Bridal Veil Lodge on Sept 25, 2021. It’s Kat + Danny’s wedding day (and also husb’s birthday!), so today was bound to be good. The morning started with all of the girls in the lodge getting ready. The owner, Beatriz, treated them to a beautiful spread of breakfast while her dogs Paige and Autumn kept company.
Lily + Cane provided our beautiful farm tables, chairs, place settings, and benches for the ceremony. Kat and Danny were a unique couple in that they live in New York, however took a trip out to the PNW during the pandemic to rest and recharge. They ended up falling in love with our forests, waterfalls, and beaches, so decided to plan their destination wedding here with 25 of their closest friends + family.
As you can guess, things weren’t always rosy on this day due to their caterer making some (in my opinion) extremely poor choices as it relates to their communication. That said, Kat and Danny remained optimistic, were receptive to plan B, and made the most of their day with their photographer Amanda. Once guests departed, Kat + Danny were whisked away for some romantic portraits at Government Cove lookout, where they shared a private dance together and watched the sun set.
All of my couples are my favorites for different reasons, but Kat + Danny’s graciousness, kindness, and warmth throughout an extremely stressful scenario was so beautiful to witness.
