SO many heartwarming moments to share in regards to Julie and Tom’s love story. It was so beautiful to see these two come together with their friends and family when they’d waited so long for one another. Julie actually came to me as a referral from a photographer (thanks Lauren!) but we found out during our consultation that I actually used to work with her brother Matt in my past life in manufacturing HR.

To date, this is the largest celebration that Alston Mayger Events has brought to life at 225 guests for a dual-plated meal at the Indian Summer Golf + Country Club in Olympia, WA. Julie is a huge fan of the color lavender, so I set out to create a really romantic and lush feel with centerpieces, linens, and she + Tom’s ceremony space. Whenever I’m after this certain look with florals, I always reach out to Jodi Iverson first. She has such an incredible eye when it comes to floral design, and I just love getting to partner with her.

Rithy of RT Faith Photography was also on our vendor list, as well as Brandon Tjaden (who you may have read in an earlier post DJ’d my own wedding, so I always love getting to bring him back into celebrations I’m creating now!)

One other person I cannot leave out is Brittany of Letters & Dust, who not only created a stunning invitation suite for Julie + Tom, but also took care of all of their signage day-of as well. When guests see the same fonts and colors throughout the evening, we’re drawing a beautiful, cohesive line through your event. Done right, it’s quite impactful.

My favorite part of this evening was after the dance floor opened up, and Julie was out on the balcony. I’d gone to check on Tom and her, and she scooped me into a hug. “I never knew what my wedding could be until you came along.” The tears were flowing! What amazing feedback to receive, and so gracious of someone who could be very focused on themselves or their new spouse (rightfully so, you just got married!) and yet they’ve taken the time to step out of the present and express gratitude to their vendors. So sweet.

We sent Julie + Tom off in a stretch limo at the end of the night, and then waited with bated breath until Rithy could send us these gorgeous photos!
