1960's inspired las vegas + palm springs wedding editorial in downtown portland or
As a creative entrepreneur, there’s nothing better than seeing a vision that you had come together so seamlessly. I am so blessed, especially in the Portland area, to be able to work with some of the most incredibly talented vendors to do just that.
Back in January, a handful of us came together at Tendue Co in Southeast Portland to soak up all the gorgeous natural light that space has to offer, and have a little photoshoot and filming for AME.
When I initially shared the vision and mood board for this shoot, I was so excited to see how jazzed everyone else was to participate. 1960’s Vegas/Palm Springs vibes in spring-y tones with quirky, alternating place settings and a whole lotta texture was the name of the game. Part of being a wedding planner and designer means you have a hand in the actual experience that guests and observers are seeing, feeling, touching, and tasting during the event. I place guest experience high on my priority list when designing events, and absolutely love serving clients whose focus is really wowing their guests by adding thoughtful details and curating a great menu to be enjoyed.
Some fun facts about this shoot — our models Phuong and Brian have been married for years, but just did a quick courthouse wedding in Louisiana. We got to create a special experience for them since they never had professional wedding photos taken.
Speaking of a special experience; this shoot was filmed by my friend Marc Rotse of Moving Pictures as a promotional video for Alston Mayger Events! You can check out the video here.
I know the photos are what you ALL came to see, so I’ll get to those now. There’s a great mix of behind-the-scenes shots featuring our stellar creative team as well as photos from the shoot. Enjoy!
